  4. Agile Project Management

While the Agile manifesto was written 20 years ago, it is certainly not a thing of the past. Scrum remains as in-demand as ever, and it’s a required skill for people working in project management.

We've specifically designed this four-week program to help you master the fundamentals of agile project management. More importantly, you'll learn how to implement the Scrum framework in your own company, now.

Skills You'll Gain

🛠 Identify a project ripe for Agile transformation.

🛠 Define project requirements according to the Scrum framework.

🛠 Plan and lead a 2-week Sprint.

🛠 Adapt your current project management skills with Agile principles.

Program Overview

Our Short BOOST training program has been specially designed to meet enterprise upskilling needs: short, practical, and tailored to your business. Over the four weeks of your training, you will take the following steps:

  1. Determine what makes a project a good candidate for agile methodologies.
  2. Build a team, plan events, and write requirements for a project.
  3. Practice key agile principles like Scrum Events and Kanban board management.
  4. Transform your own project using the Scrum framework to unleash your team’s potential.

To complete this program, you’ll do the following:

  • Learn the fundamentals of Agile project management from our OpenClassrooms course.
  • Meet with your mentor, an Agile expert, once a week in a live session to discuss key concepts and the progress of your work.

Prerequisites

  • Project manager or other role in IT or development in your company.
  • A good level of English (for non-native speakers, a CEFR level of B2 {OR} C1, an IELTS band score of 6.5, or a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended).
  • Access to a computer (PC or Mac), headphones, microphone, webcam, and a good internet connection for live mentor sessions (3.2 Mbps upload and 1.8 Mbps for download). Use an internet speed test such as HighSpeedInternet to check your connection.

A general level of digital literacy (i.e. familiarity with web browsing, digital communication, and office software) is recommended, but not required.
